A Mother’s Update

As a caregiver, it can be a struggle to find the right treatment options for someone who has sustained a traumatic brain injury (TBI). However, my experience with online speech therapy has been nothing but positive. My son was in a car accident that left him with a TBI, and I was determined to find the best way to help him recover. I was skeptical about online therapy at first, but I can honestly say that it has been a game-changer for us.

My son was having a lot of trouble with communication and speech after the accident, and I was at a loss for how to help him. I tried different in-person speech therapy options, but he was not making much progress. The therapy sessions were stressful for both of us and I could see how frustrated he was getting. It was then that I stumbled upon the idea of online speech therapy.

The first thing I noticed was how convenient it was. I was able to schedule therapy sessions at a time that worked for both my son and myself, without having to worry about traveling to a physical location. This was especially important as my son was still recovering from his injuries and I didn’t want to add any unnecessary stress to his daily routine.

My son also seemed to enjoy the virtual aspect of the therapy. He was able to connect with his therapist through a computer or tablet, which made the whole experience much more relaxed and comfortable for him. He was able to focus better on the therapy exercises and was making progress much faster than he was with in-person therapy.

The online therapy platform was user-friendly and had all the resources and materials needed for my son’s therapy. This was a huge relief for me as I no longer had to worry about finding the right resources and materials for his therapy sessions. The platform was also equipped with interactive exercises and games that were specifically designed to help with communication and speech. This was a fun and engaging way for my son to practice his speech and he was making progress much faster than with traditional therapy.

The online therapist helped me to monitor my son’s progress and see how he was doing. This was extremely helpful as I was able to see the improvement in his speech and communication and track his progress over time. I was also able to see which areas he was struggling with and discuss this with his therapist to see if there was anything that could be done to help.

One of the best things about online speech therapy was the cost. It was much more affordable than in-person therapy and I didn’t have to worry about any additional costs such as travel expenses. This was especially important as my son was going to need therapy for an extended period of time, and I didn’t want the cost to become a barrier to his progress.

Finally, online speech therapy was much more accessible for my son. He was able to receive therapy from the comfort of his own home, without having to worry about traveling to a physical location. This was especially important as my son was still recovering from his injuries and I didn’t want to add any unnecessary stress to his daily routine.

My experience with online speech therapy has been overwhelmingly positive. My son was able to make significant progress in his communication and speech, and the therapy was much more convenient, cost-effective, and accessible than traditional in-person therapy.
